French soul funk band Hypnotiks (featuring Wolfgang Valbrun) brought 2025 to a close in spectacular style, with the release of their gloriously soulful single Stone Cold Sober. They come out of the blocks with a funky bass line that is a surefire sign of good things to come, something that doesn't take long to prove as the vocals kick in and switches things up early on.

Wolfgang Valbrun's vocals carry a weight that adds a touch of gravitas to the entire track. The instrumentals are crystal clear, just like the memories of a night out when you are Stone Cold Sober.

The band has no permanent vocalist, inviting guest singers to join them on stage for their live shows, a really interesting idea which has got to be as exciting for Hypnotiks as it is for the audience.  Great stuff.
