First Born
London, UK August 22, 2025. Electronic and AV artist Venice Bleach has announced the release of his new single First Born, a cinematic and experimental track that continues to define his distinctive sound.
Built from field recordings, tape loops, and classic 90s synths, First Born brings together fragmented textures with deep, driving bass. Drum machines are routed through battered amps, VHS recordings are spliced into the mix, and yet melody and a sense of optimism sit firmly at the heart of the production. The result is both chaotic and precise, music shaped by equal measures of destruction and creation.
First Born is the second in a four-part series of singles leading into Venice Bleach’s debut EP. Each piece in the series originates from his acclaimed AV shows and mixed reality concerts, which have been staged worldwide in galleries, warehouses, and festivals including MUTEK Montreal and SXSW Texas.

Venice Bleach’s live work has been described as “the show of the future” (La Presse), blending live performance with interactive digital landscapes that allow audiences to move between physical and virtual realities. His upcoming EP will be supported by international dates across Paris, Buenos Aires, and Japan, expanding on his reputation for reimagining what a concert can be.
Along with his original work, Venice Bleach has contributed to loads of other exciting projects across film, television, fashion, and gaming, and has collaborated with artists including Lana Del Rey, Alt-J, Sinead O’Connor, Mary Wilson, and Charlotte OC.
