"hollow Gods"
Review by david weddle
Heavy Metal five peice Atravion have hit the ground running in 2022 with their new EP 'Hollow Gods'. The high octane, energy packed six tracks will have your Metal quota well and truly fulfilled.
From the start, Atravion set the tone with the atmospheric intro on "Treading Beneath A Sea Of Ash" to the heavy as hell "Hollow Gods" this is a well rounded Metal record with everything even the most dedicated Metal head could possibly want to hear.
With stunning guitar work and skilful drumming leading your mind on a journey from reality, in to the depths of a fantasy world filled with awesome vocals from lead singer Kelsey Graham.
Each track has it's own unique sound which is underpinned by a solid performance from bassist Dan Acott and drummer Craig Randall with Mat Nowacki and Joe Clout shredding it on guitar.

The stand out track for me is "Typhoid & Swans", although there isn't a bad track on the EP. I didn't find myself skipping any tracks which is a good sign. As far as Metal bands go, Atravion seem to have it all. It is easy to imagine "Hollow Gods" sounding amazing played live, which is testament to the songwriting skills of the band.
