REVIEW: DEAD WRITERS
'Among Spirits'
Linktree
Due for release on 29th of October, 'Among Spirits' is the new single from rockers Dead Writers. Taken from their forthcoming self-titled debut EP, the track definitely packs a punch.
The London based independent band have been working with Mark Tucker (Robert Plant, PJ Harvey) who mixed the track, creating a rich, well rounded sound with a hint of Manic Street Preachers.
Glorious vocal work adds to the intensity of the track, flicking between shades of light and dark, keeping the audience engaged with the theme of the track.
Dealing with feelings of separation, soul searching, growth and independence, 'Among Spirits' ticks every box when it comes to a classic rock song.
The chorus is catchy and well constructed, ensuring it will be going around in your head long after the song ends. Memorable for all the right reasons, the Dead Writers are future rock stars for sure.
You can see catch Dead Writers in concert when they perform at 02 Academy Islington on 2nd of December as support for Bad Touch.
'Among Spirits', is available to stream on all platforms from October 29th.
