1. The WILD Things
The Wild Things are a British rock band fronted by Sydney Rae White, who you may recognize from her starring role in the hit Netflix/BBC show ‘Uncle’.
Their latest single ‘Heaven Knows’ is a bright burst of pop-rock that hits you square in the jaw. The track is their ode to the many generations of rock that came before them; a soaring 90s chorus, an 80s punk outro and a very ballsey spoken word drop – their female twist on rock and soul of the 50s/60s.
The band have recently completed work on their second album, ‘Afterglow’, which was co-produced by none other than Pete Townshend himself. Townshend also features across several tracks as either a writer or performer.
The four piece are Sydney Rae White (vocals), Rob Kendrick (guitars), Cameron White (bass) and Pete Wheeler (drums).
Having recently finished touring the UK with the legendary KISS, The Wild Things are about to embark on their own UK Headline tour. Having seen them live myself I definitely recommend you take the chance to check out a show this autumn.

2. Anchor Lane
Glasgow rock band Anchor Lane have certainly made an impact on the music scene with their headline UK tour earlier this year and in recent months with multiple festival appearances.
The band, Conor, Lawrence and Graeme spent the past couple of years writing and recording the new material in Glasgow with producer Bruce Rintoul (Twin Atlantic, Fatherson, Vukovi). The resulting sound of the band's sophomore album can only be described as ROCK, its got hints of metal, classic rock and more, but all with an underlying groove and is a sum of their bands influences including the likes of Nothing But Thieves, Royal Blood, Don Broco, Bring Me The Horizon and Band of Skulls.
Their recent album release ‘Call This A Reality’ is available right now, go check out their website for more info

3. Crowley
Newcastle based hard rock outfit Crowley have not been around long but have already made themselves known on the live music circuit. Following the release of their debut single ‘The Witching Hour’, the band (vocalist Lidya Balaban, guitarists Eliza Lee and Ruth Cranston, bassist Kim Waugh, and drummer Matthew Graham) have not stopped bringing their own style of heavy pagan rock to music fans across the north east and beyond.
I caught their HMV Live and Local show in Newcastle and was blown away, a cracking band and definitely a one to watch out for. Do yourself a favour and check them out at here: linktr.ee/crowley_uk

4. South Of Salem
Bournemouth hard rockers South of Salem have earned their place on this list after touring the UK with W.A.S.P. The five piece rocked the socks off the crowd when we were lucky enough to catch their show.
Their debut album ‘The Sinner Takes It All’ has seen their fanbase grow and grow and they are due to tour the UK on their The Samhain Supernova Tour. So if you love heavy music and you like it loud, take the chance to get to a show and you won’t be disappointed.

5. Chasing August
Chasing August have been around for a while now, since 2015 in fact, and they have earned a loyal fanbase with their music. We have been lucky enough to review a number of their releases and have seen them go from strength to strength in a very short time.
The Shropshire based rockers have just released their new single ‘Daisy Chains’ and it is a cracking track, check out our review here.
