JETSTREAM 20/20: Guiding The Light On Staying Strong
By Amy Wright –‘Be You MUSIC PR’
Whitehaven Band JetStream 20/20 are raising awareness with the release of their new single and Music Video ‘LOVE/HATE’. ‘LOVE/HATE’ puts the big white light on a real-life, delicate topic – Domestic Violence. Throughout the Music Video, the band reveals just a glimpse of Domestic Violence traits such as blank facial expressions, bruises, blood, the black and white lighting, and as one quote on the wall from the video reads ‘Not all forms of abuse are visible’. Be You Music PR caught up with band members Darren and Martin to find out the importance of the song to them: Darren: “The song originally came from a past relationship I was in, having realised after I left just how mentally draining it was and how relieved I was when it ended. Having that realisation afterward opened up my eyes about what being in a loving relationship should actually be and knowing that the grass really can be greener on the other side”. Martin: “I feel the song puts the spotlight on a very uncomfortable and prevalent problem, regardless of gender. The song covers the devastation of abuse but also encourages a resolve and empowerment”.
With the blending ranges in riffs, to the persistence to maintain catchy tones in the chorus, JetStream 20/20 should be very proud of themselves for capturing the importance of raising awareness on Domestic Violence. ‘LOVE/HATE’ will be available on the links below from Friday November 12, 7pm:
