SAVING VICE TAKE OVER AS HEADLINER OF 'THE END OF WINTER TOUR' TO CELEBRATE DEBUT EP 'COLDER THAN DARK'
Vermont metalcore staples Saving Vice have taken over and rebranded 'The Hellbender Tour' to headline 'The End of Winter Tour', a celebration of their debut EP Colder Than Dark. After announcing 'The Hellbender Tour' just over a month ago, previous headliner Vampires Everywhere pulled out citing other opportunities, leaving Saving Vice to pick up the pieces.
Having dealt with a similar situation twice last year, Saving Vice and the team at Forthright Booking were able to adapt quickly to rebook almost the entire tour in just a few days! As a proudly independent band, it is undeniable that Saving Vice have an unmatched resiliency to persist in this difficult music industry.
Saving Vice vocalist Tyler Small says, "As a DIY band we've taken our financial hits recently with our trailer, van, and other tour drop offs, but we were motivated and ready to get back on the road. So, when we found out that Vampires Everywhere were pulling out of this tour, we went into scramble mode. With everything that's happened to us up to this point, we were almost better prepared for it honestly, so our entire team jumped on calls for like 8 hours straight with pretty much every single promoter on the tour and we figured it out as we always do."
With the 5-year anniversary of the band's debut EP Colder Than Dark upon them, Saving Vice took this as an opportunity to celebrate the release. Colder Than Dark was a major success for the band, peaking at #10 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart, an impressive introduction to the scene fuelled by high quality metalcore and an impactful feature from Rory Rodriguez of Dayseeker on the hit single "Euthanasia". Despite the success, the majority of Saving Vice's fanbase have yet to hear these songs live.
Tyler Small continues, "When 'Colder Than Dark' came out, it sort up blew up fast, but we weren't really touring at that time. Once we did start touring heavily, we were supporting 'Hello There', so most of our fans haven't heard these songs live. With it being the 5-year anniversary of the EP, it was kind of perfect timing to bring back a few of the tracks for our OG fans to hear - and it will probably be the last time we ever play some of these songs."
'The End of Winter Tour' is presented by Ghost Killer Entertainment and will feature support from Scythe Gang 666, Mirror Lake, and local openers on select dates, hitting 21 cities across the United States starting April 13th. 'The End of Winter Tour' will run through May 13th, concluding in Rochester, NY with a festival performance at Rage Fest.
