Shelf Lives have unveiled their blistering new EP 'You Okay?' today, listen here.

London's most electrifying duo deliver a project packed with fizzing tracks of riotous electro-punk, sounding as extroverted as ever and finding a way to portray a world on the brink with a uniquely entertaining touch.

The pounding new single 'KIDS' immediately locks listeners into a trance, after an attention-grabbing EP opener 'All Grown Up', which flows into frenzied single and BBC Radio 1's Introducing Track of the Week 'Off The Rails' and 'PVC Real Estate'. These four tracks combine with recent favourites on the extended 7 track vinyl release to include their uptempo bop 'Skirts & Salads', 'All The Problems' and the grime-y bass-driven final statement of 'BITE', all resulting in whirlwind of sound that stays on a satisfying course of destruction from start to finish.

Talking about the overarching themes on the new EP, Shelf Lives said: "‘You Okay?’ is like one big fun mental breakdown.   We offer a unique perspective with each track, with the idea of providing glimpses through various lenses, allowing us to explore diverse experiences of what kind of world we live in.  As a whole the EP captures the delicate balance, we constantly find ourselves in, always on the edge of a seemingly societal collapse.  It’s a wonder how willingly we contribute to this intricate dance, and our EP serves as a testament to the curious nature of our collective participation.  Do with that information as you will, everyone will relate to the tracks differently and find a unique meaning.  Mental breakdowns are a personal experience, after all ;)"

The pair return home to London tonight, Thursday 26th October, to celebrate the launch of the new EP at a sold out Sebright Arms. More than warmed up for the show, the duo just joined south coast trio Snayx around the UK on a chaotic 11 date run and supported Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs in Nottingham.

It's already been a whirlwind few months for Shelf Lives, who recently played to packed out rooms at The Great Escape Festival, FOCUS Wales, Sŵn and Liverpool Sound City, as well as two storming sets at this year's Glastonbury Festival. With a fierce reputation building, all eyes are on Shelf Lives right now, with 2024 theirs for the taking.

'You Okay?' EP and new single 'KIDS' are out today on Modern Sky here, and available on vinyl via Blood Records here. See Shelf Lives live at Sebright Arms tonight, 26th October.
