Good Health Good Wealth’s new album 'This Time Next Year We'll Be Millionaires' doesn’t sound like a debut. It feels like two people sitting in cosy pub somewhere, getting warm around the fire place as rain pours down outside and taking time to share stories they’ve been carrying around with them. Luckily for you they have finally decided to record those stories so you can take your place around that table and listen in. There are seven tracks in total with each one tied to a day of the week, and each one sounds like it’s being told to a mate rather than a recording studio.

CONTINUE READING “From The Pyre isn’t a departure but a continuation of The Last Dinner Party’s vision, a multi-layered, unpredictable, and subtly confident album that balances theatrical flair with baroque rock sophistication. It’s full of twists, turns, and moments that reveal something new with every listen.”

"Little Dreaming is a confident step forward from an artist who’s learning not just how to be heard, but how to say exactly what matters."
Cian Ducrot’s second full-length album, Little Dreaming, opens with a playful touch of personality. A quick medley of audio clips of people attempting to pronounce his name ends with the artist himself cutting in, full of cheek and charm, “IT’S CIAN, BITCH.” It’s a fitting intro to a record that is as self-assured as it is unguarded. 2024 has been a busy year for alt-rock duo Saint Sappho (multi-instrumentalist Zoe Young and drummer Tammy Dyson), who have built up a solid back catalogue of music this year, including the single 'Too Far Gone' back in May and more recently with 'End of the World', which has been received well by their ever growing fanbase.
And now Glasgow's finest are back with their latest single, 'M.A.D.' Released on the 30th of September, a date that marked the 1st anniversary of the passing of Tammy's Mum, the track is a heartfelt tribute to her.
'M.A.D.' is lyrically powerful; Saint Sappho asks the questions about what happens to us after this life, something we can all identify with as we struggle to understand grief and come to terms with loss. From a musical perspective, the track reflects emotional upheaval with Saint Sappho's unique sound. 'M.A.D.' is infused with melancholy and is reassuringly nostalgic with a very comforting 90's aesthetic.
Saint Sappho has created a song that tugs on the heartstrings at the same time as putting a supportive arm around you. The track is a fitting tribute and an excellent piece of song-writing. This is definitely one to add to your collection. Find out more about Saint Sappho and keep up with their latest releases and live shows at linktr.ee/saintsappho . Craig Gould, one of the UK's finest Americana/Folk artists of the modern era released his debut album last year, 'Songs From The Campfire'. The final single from Craig's ground breaking album, 'Old Brown Boots', is one of the earliest tracks that Craig worked on for the chart topping* album.
