 Formed in Liverpool, The Mysterines – frontwoman Lia Metcalfe, drummer Paul Crilly, bassist George Favager and guitarist Callum Thompson – have undergone a radical transformation over the past few years. Fresh with new purpose and reinvigorated from songwriting sessions while secluded away in the countryside (in between playing to 60,000-strong crowds while on tour with the Arctic Monkeys), the band have now just released the best music of their career with their new album Afraid of Tomorrows, the highly-anticipated follow up to their critically-acclaimed Top 10 debut album Reeling.

Co-written with Van Zandt, Ray says of the track, “This song finds our protagonist yearning for the attention of a bad girl in town. The album has a new release date, set for the 21st June via Fiction Records. In anticipation for the album the group have shared the lead single ‘Stray’, which premiered on BBC Radio 1 as Clara Amfo’s Hottest Record, as well as their singles 'Sink Ya Teeth' and this week's 'The Last Dance'. The group are finishing their record store tour across the UK this week as well, which started at London's Rough Trade East on the 11th June and will be finishing at Glasow's Assai on the 26th June.
 Photo: Westway Craig Revel Horwood has announced he is to release his debut solo album in the autumn, ahead of an extensive UK tour in 2025.
Titled ‘Revelations: Songs Boys Don’t Sing’, the album will be released on 18th October via the Westway Music label, and is preceded by the release of Craig’s debut solo single, a dance floor update of Dame Shirley Bassey’s classic ‘This Is My Life’, which is out today (Monday, 17th June). In support of his album, Craig will embark on a 53-date UK tour that begins in Eastleigh on 4th April 2025 and ends in Dunfermline on 28th June, including a date at London’s Union Chapel on 26th April.
