The iconic musician proved once again why he is considered a legend in the industry, captivating the audience with his exceptional talent and undeniable stage presence.
An Electrifying Night of Rock: Winger Shreds Newcastle
I had the incredible opportunity to attend the highly anticipated Steel Panther concert opened by rock legends Winger in Newcastle last night, and it was a night to remember. The band, known for their unique blend of hard rock and melodic sensibilities, delivered an electrifying performance that left the audience in awe.

For over forty years one name has been synonymous with the words 'shock rock', in fact if it weren't for W.A.S.P. and front man Blackie Lawless it is possible that the term shock rock might not even exist. A lot of time has passed since W.A.S.P. introduced their own unique blend of music and theatrics to a world that was definitely not expecting it. Many people actively fought against the band and their music, with their shows bringing condemnation from religious groups and even governments at one point.
Rising British hip-hop star Loyle Carner released his highly anticipated third album 'hugo' back in October 2022 (read our review here). With the album becoming an instant hit with his fans, Loyle hit the road along with special guest Wesley Joseph to play it to a live audience. Stopping by at Newcastle City Hall on his sold-out UK tour, it was clear from the queue that wrapped around City Hall several times that Loyle has built up a dedicated fan base.
It has been over four decades in the making and eleven studio albums in the making, but Anthrax finally descended on O2 Newcastle City Hall on the UK leg of their fortieth anniversary tour.
With support from New York metal bands Sworn Enemy and Municipal Waste, Newcastle's metal community was in for a treat. Sworn Enemy kicked off proceedings with a hard and heavy set that really wetted the crowd's appetite. Giving an outstanding performance, Sworn Enemy definitely made some new friends in Newcastle.
