Indie quartet BLOXX have released their glittering new EP 'Modern Day' - listen here.

'Modern Day' marks another jubilant stride in the band's career, and is easily their most personal work to date. Comprising of five glistening indie gems, the four-piece delve into weighted topics as they navigate themselves through mental health struggles and relationship breakdowns to find the light at the end of the tunnel.
The EP features previous singles 'Weight In Gold', which explores themes of self-worth in your darkest of times and 'Runaway', a euphoric indie gem that glistens with the upbeat and effervescent sonic footprints we've come to know and love from the London-based quartet, as well as 'Happy Anniversary (To Being Lonely)', a typically upbeat track brimming with effervescent melodies and comeback song 'Television Promises', all alongside the title track.

Speaking about the EP vocalist Fee explains,
"This EP accumulated through the end of lockdown to 2022. I poured everything I had into writing during a really scary time. I was lost, freaked out and all I could do was worry about the future so 'Modern Day' came about. 'Happy Anniversary (To being Lonely)' signifies the start of the low point, where 'Weight In Gold' was like the light at the end of the tunnel, when I started to realise the beauty of understanding how we all deserve to be here and also wanting other people to see their own worth. 'Television Promises' and 'Runaway' are a bit of fun but serious fun. I love a metaphor. Everyone’s own interpretation of music is so important as that is how we all consume music, differently."

The London-based four-piece previously dropped an electrifying debut album 'Lie Out Loud' in 2020 and follow up EP 'Pop Culture Radio' in 2021. The last few years have seen the Uxbridge outfit stake their claim as one of the UK's leading indie pop outfits, crafting a definitive brand of confessional, relatable anthems that don't shy away from personal issues - whether that's LGBTQ+ representation in the scene, relationship breakdowns, or mental health.
