“The Mary Wallopers are masterly in their storytelling, bouncing through lyrical gymnastics at a pace that would leave most tongue-tied. The energy is infectious… it only took a few words to take over the cross generational crowd… every word is sung back with vigour” The Times

The Mary Wallopers have announced their biggest UK dates so far due to massive public demand for tickets. Currently on a massive sold out tour of the UK and Ireland, the band have added five dates in March 2024. They will play:

Wednesday 13th                   Nottingham Rock City
Thursday 14th                       Leeds O2 Academy
Friday 15th                            Manchester Academy 1
Saturday 16th                        Newcastle NX
Sunday 17th                          Bristol O2 Academy

Tickets go on sale at 9:30am on Friday 17th November 2023 via Gigs and Tours and Ticketmaster.

The Mary Wallopers second album - Irish Rock’n’Roll - was recently released to universal acclaim, reaching the Top 40 in the UK and No 2 on the Irish Album Charts. Some of the praise for Irish Rock ’n’ Roll:

“The punk spirit of Irish traditional music...Irish Rock'n'Roll is impossible to shake off.” Mojo 4/5

“A raucous power… not seen since the heyday of The Pogues” Uncut 8/10

“Revitalising Irish trad for a new generation with rowdy reinterpretations of hand-me-down odes to sex, devilry and drink (mainly drink)… they elevate the displaced and the downtrodden, sticking two fingers up to the establishment and, in doing so, yank a thread that unites all rebel music from folk to punk and rap” The Guardian

“An essential step-up for one of the most defiant yet inherently honest forces in modern Irish music.” Hot Press 9/10
